Mesa, AZ, Mesa Gateway Airport Authority (MGAA) is seeking an experienced and strategic leader for the role of Director of Engineering & Planning. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing the design, construction, planning, environmental compliance, and maintenance of the airport. This position will ensure regulatory compliance, and manage complex projects that enhance airport infrastructure. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead and manage engineering, planning, environmental, construction, and maintenance operations for both airside and landside projects. Direct departmental staff, assigning priorities, managing performance, and fostering professional development. Oversee project planning, budgeting, design review, and construction oversight. Ensure all programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Administer department and project budgets, grants, and resource allocations. Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Represent MGAA in public forums, regulatory meetings, and industry groups. Review and approve contracts, reports, and project deliverables. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a closely related field. 7 years or more of progressively responsible professional and managerial experience, preferably within an airport or similar public infrastructure setting. Strong knowledge of engineering, public administration, budgeting, and project management. Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Valid Arizona driver’s license required within 30 days of hire. Professional Engineer (PE), Registered Architect, or Certified Building Official (CBO) license, and/or AAAE Certified Member (C.M.) certification preferred.

Chicago Metro, Illinois, SUMMARY:   Our Client seeks a dynamic Senior Project Manager for its Design, Construction, and Facility Management team. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be directly responsible for leading and delivering challenging retail projects simultaneously. Your strong knowledge of retail construction projects, from start to finish, will demonstrate your ability to drive business forward through innovative and industry-changing ideas. You will contribute to the development of project budgeting and scheduling and provide input on the development strategy from inception through project completion. You will be focused on the client experience by providing innovative solutions to complex challenges and diverse priorities. RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders. Develop internal project estimates for various types of retail projects, including hard & soft costs. Utilize external relationships to assist in complex project budgeting. Review letters of intent, landlords' work exhibits, proposal specifications, drawings, contract documents, and 3rd party reports to determine the scope of work and the required contents of the project budget. Develop preliminary project schedule(s), project scopes and RFP’s. Review final bid packages to ensure accuracy & completeness before formal submittal to the team. Maintain, review, and incorporate historical data from previous projects. Visit proposed project sites as needed for budgeting, pre-bid, and job site meetings. Manage the total construction effort to ensure each project is constructed in accordance with the safety, quality, design, budget, and schedule constraints. Monitor and maintain job costs, procurement, and scheduling. Responsible for excellent customer relationship management. Possess the innovative and development techniques needed for special projects that fall outside the normal scope of operation. Other duties, as assigned. SKILLSETS & QUALIFICATIONS: B.S. in Architecture or Construction Management, or the equivalent of 8+ years of project management and project budgeting experience. The position will be located in Metro Chicago, but must have the ability to travel throughout the country. Detail-oriented with an excellent work ethic and ability to prioritize work. Proficiency and understanding of building, facility, and site work construction, including MEP. Experience with Commercial Real Estate projects is a must. Microsoft Office proficient (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.). Yardi Construction Manager experience is a plus. Superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills are essential.
