Ability to supervise engineering and related activities; prepare and interpret specifications, contract documents, and reports; exercise sound judgment and determine effective courses of action; plan, direct, coordinate, and supervise the work of professional and sub-professional engineering personnel; operate computer equipment and software applications related to assignment; establish and maintain effective working relations with public officials, contractors, the general public and fellow employees; communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Minimum Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering or related field. At least four years of progressively responsible professional project management and engineering experience in the design and construction industry. Or a combination of education and experience as described above. Required Licenses/Certifications and Other Special Requirements: Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license consistent with Prince William Water policy requirements. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification by the Project Management Institute or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) Certification by the Construction Management Association of America, upon hire or required to obtain either one within two years of employment in this position. Minimum Lead/supervisory or Management Experience: None.
